To begin, let us first ask the most important question – What is adrenal fatigue? Adrenal fatigue is something like a life crisis that basically is a collection of symptoms that your doctor might not be able to give reason or explain as to why you are having them. This term is a favorite among popular books and websites; however it is not an accepted medical diagnosis.
Symptoms that may occur for this kind of condition are: tendency to gain weight even with utmost efforts to lose it, higher possibility of contracting flu or having flu last longer than should be, tendency to visibly tremble when under pressure. lightheadedness, reduced memory, lack of energy, over-tired, increasing need for coffee or other stimulants before becoming active, and pain in the upper back or neck with no reason at all. Other signs that may cause concern are mild depression, dyspepsia, palpitation, hypoglycemia, low body temperature, and extreme bouts of lethargy.
Now that we’ve checked the symptoms, why don’t we check out possible causes of this affliction? The most common, of course, is chronic and extreme stress. Other possible reasons that are most common are: anger, chronic fatigue, chronic illness, depression, low blood sugar, late hours, mal-digestion, gluten intolerance, surgery, sleep deprivation, and excessive caffeine intake.
Okay, now that we’ve conquered those topics already, how do we reduce or reverse adrenal fatigue? Best advice, of course, is to have enough rest. Eat healthy, and exercise. These are the basic steps to keep healthy and to stop adrenal fatigue.
